Alignment. True neutral
Domains. Twilight/Darkness, Light
Divine Rank. Greater Deity

Ongana is the mysterious goddess of crossroads in Grisaire. This doesn't sound like much, but her influence in creation cannot be discounted. While her domains are named as light and darkness, her creations speak for themselves in reaching beyond such constraints. For example, Ongana, not Tarekaya, is the creator of chromatic and metallic dragons in Grisaire. Her intention was to create two opposites from the likeness of Tarekaya and have them fight each other, thus mirroring how the two-headed goddess dragon has dual and opposing natures. Tarekaya was honored at Ongana's depiction of this brought into the world, though it wasn't an entirely flattering gesture. Ongana's power is significant, but she is also a capricious goddess who creates and destroys as an amused observer rather than a mindful stewardess.

Aspects[edit]

Ongana, sometimes called a two-faced goddess, has many forms of avatars that manifested in the world and shaped much of the land and the people living on it. As the sun and moons do scour the earth with their light and shade, so too does Ongana's influence cover the world.

Sorsrey, Avatar of the Paths[edit]

In old Morkanish myth, Ongana appears as a young woman in a grey dress holding reeds that oversees various paths commonly tread by horse and man alike. One can hazard a guess at her supernatural nature because her eyes will be totally black. They called her Sorsrey and were wary of slighting her by ignoring her presence. It was said that she granted safe passage and even helpful directions to lost travelers when shown proper respect. However, she was also just as likely to mislead someone as a means of testing their mettle.
