Ochilles' Heels (5e Equipment)
From D&D Wiki
Wondrous Item, uncommon Ochilles' heels are a pair of short leather shoes first invented by the oozemaster Ochilles, who developed a process to magically preserve ochre jellies without their intelligence or dissolving effects, while retaining their slipperiness, and applied them to the heels of his shoes to allow him slide a short distance effortlessly. Sadly, he accidentally slid off a cliff shortly after inventing them, but his notes were later recovered and his work lives on. Characters wearing Ochilles' heels may use a bonus action to increase their base movement speed by 5 feet until the start of their next turn. If a character moves through difficult terrain while wearing Ochilles' heels, they must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw or fall prone. Characters who have their speed reduced to 0 feet cannot benefit from Ochilles' heels. |
