Physical Description[edit]

862.png

Obstagoon is a monochrome, bipedal pokemon with bestial features. Its pointed head sits forward of its body on a long, thick neck. It has a pointed snout like a badger, as well as slanted, "mean"-looking, red eyes. Its long tongue frequently hangs out of its mouth. Its entire body is covered in thick fur patterned with stripes and diamonds. It has a thicker coat of gray fur around its forearms and lower legs, as well as around its back, and most of its chest, forming vest-like armor.

History[edit]

Found only in the Galar region, obstagoon is a unique tertiary evolution in the zigzagoon line. However, it has evolved to be known as a far more belligerent variant and is not located in Hoenn or any other region. It is said that its unique evolution is the result of the Galarian linoone's survival instinct being honed from competition and harsh conditions of the Galar region.

Society[edit]

Often seen as a pokemon choice of ne'er-do-wells, obstagoon is a very confrontational pokemon. In the wild, they are known to fight frequently with pangoro. As part of its honed survival instinct, obstagoon actively seek foes to duel with to show off its battle prowess. They are not known to get along with many other pokemon, and largely keep to their own dens of zigzagoon and linoone. The Galarian species are not known to interact well with the Hoenn variant.

Obstagoon Names[edit]

Most obstagoon despise being called anything cutesy, even by their trusted trainers. They prefer names that mirror hardy, battle-toughened traits.
