ODM Gear (5e Equipment)

Wondrous item, Uncommon ("Required Attunement") "Omni-Directional-Maneuver Gear" You may use an action or bonus action to attack with the ODM Gear. The Gear has a +3 to hit and deals 1d4 + 2 piercing damage. On a hit, the target is pulled up to 40ft towards the user and must succeed on a DC 15 Strength Saving Throw or be knocked prone. If the target is Large or larger they are not pulled by the ODM Gear. You can optionally choose to be pulled towards the enemy as well. If the target reaches within 5ft of the user, the user must succeed a DC 12 Acrobatics Check. On a success, you can move up to 5ft in any direction and the target is released if it isn’t an object. On a failure, the user is hit by the target and must make a DC 15 Strength Saving Throw or be knocked prone. If you land a successful attack on the same turn the target reaches you, you deal an additional 1d6 damage per 10ft you and the target travels. If the user reaches the target and the target is an object or a creature of size Huge or larger, the user can choose to remain suspended by the ODM Gear. The target can be released as a reaction. While airborne, you can use your reaction to take half the damage you would normally take from fall damage. This can be done twice per long rest. |
