Ntofos (5e Equipment)
Weapon (Tonfa), legendary (requires attunement) A dual pair of Tonfa Weaponry, Ntofos, once wielded by a great warrior aptly named the 'Pride of Nazumah'. Derived and inspired by African weaponry and shields utilizing animal hide, The Ntofo are forged from a mixture of raw strength, and supreme craftmanship. A symbol of resilience and adaptability; this weapon's staple feature is its shifting form. This weapon has advantage based on the wielder's Constitution modifier. Standard Form: Armored: The Ntofo's base armored form, infused with the hide of a Cobra-Lion hold a sleek and elegant yet organic and leathery texture, yet appearing as if molded from metal like clay. In this armored form their wielder gains +2 to AC. Attacks dealt in this form deal 2d8 bludgeoning damage plus +AC; hit targets must succeed a CON saving throw of 12, if the target fails this save their movement is reduced by 50%. All out Form: Shattered: The Ntofo's shattered form, the regenerating cobra-lion's hide has been broken either through extreme force from blocking attacks, or purposely via the wielder's choice. The weapon's now have a rugged and fractured yet majestic appearance, bolstering sharp blades like perfectly honed obsidian; the weapon's stature is lighter and etched with intricate patterns of Ancient Shuriman glyphs. Attacks dealt in this form deal 4d6 +DEX slashing damage. Nazuman Footwork/Path Maker: As a bonus action whilst using the 'Armored form', the wielder can perform a dash to a target within 10 ft range, providing 2d6 temporary hit points until the start of your next turn. Whilst in the 'All out form' the wielder may make a dashing attack up to a range of 15ft, separate from the wielder's movement during their turn, this dashing attack can be postponed for up to 2 turns increasing the dash range by 10ft per turn, during this time the wielder takes 2d12 reduced damage from any physical attacks, and is immune to immobilizing effects for the duration. Once released, the charged attack deals 2d6 +1d6 piercing damage per turn to every target in the pre-destined path, the attack displaces all targets equal to or smaller than the wielder's size, to the end of the dash's path. Dauntless Strikes: Landing two consecutive attacks on a target activates an empowered strike. The next attack made will have an increased range from 5ft to 15 ft; knocking all targets in the attack's path towards the wielder by 5 feet. Each target knocked must succeed a CON saving throw of 8, or be knocked prone until the end of the target's next turn. If a target is knocked within melee range of the wielder, you may make a reaction attack against the target. Stat Summary: Armored Form: +2 AC, 2d8 Bludgeoning +AC and CON save of 8 or 50% slow, Nazuman Footwork: 10ft range 2d6 temp. hp ; Shattered Form: 4d6 Slashing +DEX, Path Maker: 15ft range 2d6 +1d6 Piercing and 10ft range per turn, -2d12 dmg taken during duration, most hit targets are pushed back. ; Dauntless Strikes: Third consecutive strike gains 10ft of range, knocks hit targets towards wielder, proned targets within range can be reaction attacked. |
