Weapon (Halberd), legendary (requires attunement, any evil alignment)

Forged in the fires of an active volcano and infused with a fragment of an Ancient Red Dragon's, soul, this weapon forever glows a faint red while wisps of harmless, odorless smoke drift out of hairline cracks in it's ever-burning ornate surface. This weapon is double-headed, one side is shaped like an axe, while the opposite is reinforced and shaped like a hammerhead.

Basic Properties. The Molten Poleaxe deals 1d10 slashing OR bludgeoning damage (you choose the type when making an attack), and has the brutal, heavy, reach, and two-handed properties. (Brutal; this weapon rerolls 1's on damage die.)

Magma Glow. The Molten Poleaxe radiates dim light in a 15 foot radius.

Soul Sear. When dealing weapon damage to an enemy, the fragment of Irexannas' soul within the Molten Poleaxe lashes out and burns the target for 2d10 fire damage. Fire damage dealt by this weapon incinerates the enemy's lifeforce, reducing their hit point maximum by half of the fire damage dealt. If the enemy's hit point maximum is reduced to 0 from this feature, the cannot be resurrected by anything short of two simultaneous castings of the True Resurrection spell.

Penetrating Flame Fire damage dealt by the Molten Poleaxe treats the enemy's resistance as though it were one level lower, and treats an enemy with no resistance as having vulnerability to fire. (Absorption -> Immunity -> Resistance -> None -> Vulnerable)
