Physical Description[edit]

Mechon outside their faced mechon armor look very similar to how they did as homs, but their bodies have several mechanical parts added to them. The faced mechon armor's appearance varies a lot and can look like mostly anything the mechon desires as a design at the time of its creation, although its body is typically humanoid looking and always has a face.
History[edit]
A long time ago, there was a war between two titans, the Bionis and the Mechonis. The Mechonis' warriors were the mechon, mechanical creatures created by the machina to battle against the homs, who were fighting for the Bionis. The homs eventually managed to win, due to the power of a legendary weapon called the Monado, which could destroy mechon easily. After some time, your kind of mechon was created, called faced mechon. faced mechon are in fact homs who were captured and turned into cyborgs with mechanical bodies. Some faced mechon retain their memories, but others do not. Homs are almost entirely equivalent to humans.
In D&D, a playable mechon was originally a human, that was captured by a mechon assault and turned into a mechon themselves at the mechon's home base. When playing a mechon, a player may wish to ask themselves: What was the event that led to their capture as a human? What do they wish to do moving forward as a Mechon? Are they truly independent of other Mechon, or must they still follow their superior's commands?
Society[edit]
Faced mechon mostly retain the personalities they had as homs. After being captured and transformed, they follow a chain of command. However, nowadays, the chain of command has been mostly destroyed, and thus most Mechon are free agents. Most Mechon incapable of thought are hostile to all living beings except other Mechon.
Mechon Names[edit]
Most faced mechon, while outside their mechon armors, either keep their original name, or don't remember it. Their mechon armor is typically called "<type of metal> Face".
Homs: Mumkhar, Fiora, Gadolt.
Mechon armor: Bronze Face, Silver Face, Metal Face, Jade Face.
Mechon Traits[edit]
You are a homs that has been captured and turned into a cyborg, that controlls a faced mechon armor.
Ability Score Increase. Your Constitution score increases by 2, and one other ability score of your choice increases by 1.
Age. After being turned into a mechon, the body doesn't age anymore, meaning that they will forever be as young or as old as they were when they were turned, for the purposes of maturity and age.
Alignment. Mechon can be any alignment, but have a tendency towards evil.
Size. Your cyborg form is the same height as the homs that originated it. Your size is Medium.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Mechanical body. Your body is a mix of biological and mechanical. You require no food to survive, but are still able to eat, and must still drink water and breathe. Instead of sleeping, you enter an inactive state for 8 hours each day. You do not dream in this state; you are fully aware of your surroundings and notice approaching enemies and other events as normal. You are considered both Humanoid and Construct, but you ignore the restriction "This spell has no effect on undead or constructs" of most healing spells.
Natural Armor. The steel platings and modifications made to your body grant you natural armor. While not wearing armor, or while using "faced mechon armor", your AC is 13 + your dex modifier. You can wear a shield and still get this benefit.
faced mechon armor. Starting at 3rd level, as an action, you can free the mechanical power within you, generating a suit of armor for your use for 1 minute, or until you dismiss it as a bonus action. While wearing this armor, choose one damage type between slashing, piercing or bludgeoning: you gain resistance to nonmagical damage of that type, and once on each of your turns, you can deal extra damage to one target when you deal damage to it with an attack or a spell. The extra damage has the same damage type as the attack or spell's damage, and is equal to your level. You may use this trait once, then must complete a long rest before you can use it again.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and one other language of your choice.
