Mask of Twice (5e Equipment)

From D&D Wiki

Jump to: navigation, search

Wondrous item (Mask), very rare (requires attunement)

A face mask with solid white eyes and the cloth being split horizontally as grey and black sections. It smells like cigarettes and anxiety. The mask holds three charges and regains 1 charge at the end of each day.

Double. You expend a charge, think of a creature or object that you know the appearance of, and create a duplicate of it. The duplicate looks exactly like the original in every way and if it's a person it has the personality and all the memories of the original person. However, the duplicate has half the hit points of the original and once it drops to 0 hit points, it is reduced to a pile of mud. You may also make a second double by expending a second charge, however it will have a fourth of the hit points of the original.

Curse. If not already attuned to a creature, the mask will attune to the next person who wears it. Once attuned, this mask begins it's curse. Should the wearer ever attempt to take this mask off, they must make a DC 16 Wisdom saving throw. The attuned creature takes 2d6 psychic damage on a failed save or half as much on a successful one. The creature must continue to make this save at the start of each turn or until they wear the mask again.
