Manual of an Iron Guard (5e Equipment)
From D&D Wiki
Wondrous Item, artifact (Requires Attunement)
Created by a genius scientist, the iron guard goal is to protect their nobility. These manuals explain how to create such guards and their control amulets. This manual is a stone tablet that details all the proper ways to make an iron guard.
Random Properties. The Manual of an Iron Guard has the following random properties:
- 1 minor beneficial property
- 1 minor detrimental property
Iron Guard Manual While crafting an iron guard, you can decide to create an amulet to control the iron guard. Crafting an iron guard requires at least 1 9th level spell slot and 100,000 gp worth of materials. The iron guard is crafted in 100 gp/day increments, so one guard takes 1,000 days. The amulet takes at least 2 5th level spell slots and 10,000 gp worth of materials, crafted in increments of 1,000 gp each. When finished with the iron guard and its amulets, simply touch the amulet as 3 action to tap into the iron guard physic and control it for one minute. You cannot create more than one iron guard at a time, when your iron guard is destroyed you cannot make another until a week has passed. The maker of the guard may choose a variant but throughout making it, you can only make one spellcaster variant, only three shield variants and any number of times with the non-variant.
Destroying the Manual of an Iron Guard. This tablet has the statics of a normal stone material so simply using options like dropping it from a far drop will break it and render it useless, other alternatives can be used but can only be broken by the DM's discretion (EX: The DM says 10 force damage can break this stone tablet.)
