Magnolia (5e Equipment)
From D&D Wiki
Weapon (longsword), very rare (requires attunement by a spellcaster) Being a simple longsword, Magnolia's entire form is simple mithril, no other material exists on the blade, guard, or grip. Whilst in it's base form, Magnolia is a simple longsword with the finesse property, but the blade can be powered. Once powered, the entire sword becomes surrounded by a dim radiant light and small little arcs of electricity. You have a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls with this magic weapon. Magic Conduit When the wielder of this blade is the target of the spell, they may use their reaction to absorb a portion of the spell or they may spend a spell slot of any level as an action. Once a spell has been absorbed by the blade in this way, the weapon gains the Magnolia Requiem and Requiem Bolt properties for 1d4 hours. Magnolia Requiem Once Magnolia gains this property and becomes Magnolia Requiem, the sword starts to emit a dull light and small sparks. While this property is active, Magnolia deals an additional 1d6 lightning damage and 1d6 radiant damage. Requiem Bolt As an action, the wielder of Magnolia can launch bolts of radiant lightning that deal 2d8 lightning and 2d8 radiant damage at a max range of 100ft as a ranged spell attack using the wielder's spellcasting ability modifier or their Strength or Dexterity modifier, whichever is preferred. For all intents and purposes, Requiem Bolt counts as a level 1 spell. This effect can be used 4 times, and this sword regains 1d4 expended uses daily at dawn. |
