Magic Crafter[edit]

Sorcerer Subclass (Origin)

The ability to create spells is a very special and rare gift, belonging to a mystical lineage known as the "Arcane Crafters". These sorcerers possess an innate connection with magic energy, allowing them to manipulate it in a unique way to create customized spells. The ability to create spells comes from an unknown origin, it is said that somewhere in the world there is a place where magic energy flows with greater intensity, facilitating the creation of spells. Arcane Crafters are known for their powerful arsenal of personalized spells, which are unique in their class and can be used to face any challenge. However, due to their innate nature, Arcane Crafters cannot learn additional spells, and must rely on their ability to create spells to increase their magical power. With time and practice, Arcane Crafters become true masters of magic, capable of creating spells of great scope and effectiveness.

Feature 1

At level 1, the sorcerer has the ability to use a bonus action to create a custom spell. However, they cannot learn additional spells when leveling up. The created spell can only be used once, but they can use multiple spell slots or sorcery points to make it more powerful. Spell slots or sorcery points are regained when they recover health, depending on the recovery die (d4). As they level up, the recovery die improves (d6 at level 5, d8 at level 10, d10 at level 15, d12 at level 20).

Feature 2

Level 3: At 3rd level, the sorcerer gains the ability to craft their own spells. They can use their spell slots and Sorcery Points to create custom spells tailored to specific situations, or to modify existing spells to suit their needs. The sorcerer learns the spell craft homunculus as one of the additional spells that doesn't count towards the sorcerer's known spells.

Feature 3

Level 8: At 8th level, the sorcerer's spell crafting abilities improve, allowing them to create more complex and powerful spells. They can also imbue their crafted spells into magic items, creating wands, scrolls, and other magic items that can be used by anyone. The sorcerer learns the spell enchanted quiver as one of the additional spells that doesn't count towards the sorcerer's known spells.

Feature 4

Level 14: At 14th level, the sorcerer's spell crafting abilities reach their peak, allowing them to create powerful and unique spells that are not found on any spell list. They can also imbue their crafted spells into their Signature Item, making it an even more powerful and versatile tool. The sorcerer learns the spell effigy of the master as one of the additional spells that doesn't count towards the sorcerer's known spells.

Feature 5

Level 18: At 18th level, the sorcerer's spell crafting abilities become legendary, allowing them to create powerful and unique spells that are not found on any spell list. They can also imbue their crafted spells into their magic items, making them even more powerful and versatile. The sorcerer learns the spell forge of the elements and wondrous workshop as one of the additional spells that doesn't count towards the sorcerer's known spells.

Feature 6

Master Crafter Level: 20th You have mastered the art of spell crafting and can now create powerful magical items with ease. You can create any magical item of rare or lower rarity without the need for any additional components or gold cost. Additionally, you can create magical items of very rare and legendary rarity, but you must spend gold and any additional components required to create the item.

In addition, you gain the ability to imbue your spells with even greater power. When you cast a spell, you can choose to expend a spell slot of one level higher than the spell being cast. If you do, the spell's effects are maximized and it ignores any resistances or immunities the target may have. This ability can be used once per long rest.
