You call upon the truest essence of all that is good and grant that essence power & a shape in the material world. The sound of singing from a heavenly choir erupts from the area as the spell takes hold. The sky darkens as if it suddenly became night, as the stars dance across the heavens. With a flash of faith and devotion, an explosion of purity turns the false night back into day as the benevolent lion's divine retribution is carried out.
- Choose a number of creatures equal to your spell casting ability modifier and no further than 30 ft from each other to unleash divine flame-like radiance upon. Each creature selected must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the target takes 5d6 radiant damage (10d6 if other targets are available & meet the criteria, but you choose to only hit one). If the targets are undead, a devil, fiend, or a lawful evil aligned creature, they become frightened of you (for 5 rounds) & their maximum hit points are reduced by the amount of radiant damage they have taken from this spell, for 1d4+5 hours. On a success, the target takes half as much damage, it is frightened for only 1 round, & it's hit point maximum is reduced for only 1 hour. If one of the above kinds of creatures is reduced to below 0 hit points but not killed outright, it must make a dc 15 constitution save or perish under the weight of the unyielding divine force.
- A bottle of pure unholy water, a remove curse, or greater restoration equivalent can end the lowered hit point maximum effect early.
This spell becomes available to a follower of Voltron, the Five Faced King, upon completing any 3 of the 5 trials of lions and gaining the "Deeper Connection" bond with the deity.
