Improved Cursed Energy Recovery. The curse regains 3 cursed energy at the beginning of each of it's turns. Famous Name. Whenever Kuchisake-Onna rolls initiative, it may force every hostile creature that can see it to make a Wisdom saving throw (DC 17). On a failure, they are frightened for one minute. They can reroll this saving throw in the beggining of their turns to end the condition early. On a success, they are immune to this feature for 24 hours. Savage Assault. Once per turn, Kuchisake-Onna may add its cr in extra damage to an attack. Shifty. Kuchisake-Onna can disengage as a bonus action. Invisible Force. You are entirely made out of cursed energy, meaning you cannot be seen by normal people. Creatures without levels in the Jujutsu Sorcerer class or who cannot see into the ethereal plane cannot see you. Although, if these creatures were in a life and death situation(less than half their maximum hit points), they gain the ability to see you. Sadism. Whenever Kuchisake-Onna deals damage to someone who is frightened of it, half of the total damage will be converted in temporary hit points to itself. These temporary hit points cannot go above its CR. ACTIONSMultiattack. Kuchisake-Onna makes two Scissor Slash attacks. Scissor Slash. Melee Weapon Attack: +7, Reach 5 ft Hit: 21 (3d12+3) Slashing damage Disfiguring Strike. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 32 (5d10 + 7) Slashing damage. On a success they take half damage and do not gain the condition. Simple Scissor Domain (10 Cursed Energy). Once Kuchisake-Onna is at 1/2 of it's hit points, it may use its domain expansion. The environment within a 165-foot radius centered on the Cursed Spirit transforms into a surreal cityscape shrouded in darkness, with twisted, narrow alleyways appearing where none existed before. The Domain is considered a non-violent domain and can not be clashed with. Once the Domain is active Kuchisake-Onna may impose the question "Am I pretty?". All creatures within the simple domain must make a DC 17 Intelligence saving throw. On a failure, multiple scissors strike the target, as they take 24 (8d6) slashing damage and gain the bleeding condition as they are now horribly scarred in a similar fashion. On a success, the creature may escape the domain. BONUS ACTIONSAdvanced Regeneration. The curse can spend any amount of Cursed Energy, regaining hit points equal to 10 times the amount spent. REACTIONSAdvanced Regeneration. As a Reaction to suffering damage, the curse uses it's Advanced Regeneration. |
Kuchisake-onna (口裂け女, 'Slit-Mouthed Woman') is a malevolent figure in Japanese urban legends and folklore. Described as the malicious spirit, or onryō, of a woman, she partially covers her face with a mask or other item and carries a pair of scissors, a knife, or some other sharp object. She is most often described as having long, straight, black hair, pale skin, and otherwise being considered beautiful (except for her scar). She has been described as a contemporary yōkai. According to popular legend, she asks potential victims if they think she is beautiful. If they respond with "no", she will either kill them with her long medical scissors on the spot or wait until nightfall and murder them in their sleep. If they say "yes", she will reveal that the corners of her mouth are slit from ear to ear, and she will then repeat her question. If the individual responds with "no", she will kill them with her weapon, and if they say "yes" hesitantly she will cut the corners of their mouth in such a way that resembles her own disfigurement. Methods that can be used to survive an encounter with Kuchisake-onna include answering her question by describing her appearance as "average"
