The world of Krynn is orbited by three moons that each influence its magic. The black moon, Nuitari, influences consumptive and destructive magics, the white moon, Solinari, influences healing and protective magics, and the red moon, Lunitari, influences the balance of the two. This stone orb captures a portion of each moon’s power to unlock more magical might. Magical historians theorize the orbs were created using Ioun Stones.

Each Krynn Moon Orb is a perfect sphere 1-inch in diameter. When you use an action to toss an orb into the air, the orb orbits your head at a distance of 1d3 feet and confers a benefit to you. Thereafter, another creature must use an action to grasp or net the orb to separate it from you, either by making a successful attack roll against AC 27 or a successful DC 27 Dexterity (Acrobatics) check. You can use an action to seize and stow the orb without an attack or ability check, ending its effect. An orb has AC 27, 9 hit points, and resistance to all damage. It is considered to be an object that is being worn while it orbits your head.

Each orb confers to you a damage resistance and a property. It also increases one of your ability scores by 2, to maximum of 30, while you are attuned to it. While an orb is orbiting your head, you can use it as a spellcasting focus for your spells and you gain a +1 bonus to spell attack rolls and to the saving throw DCs.

1 Lunitari Ruby Intelligence Force When you make an attack roll or an ability check and roll a 9 or lower on the d20, you can balance fate and treat the roll as a 10. You can balance fate in this way a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
2 Nuitari Obsidian Charisma Necrotic You can channel your life force into the power of your magic. When a creature you can see within 60 feet of you fails a saving throw against a spell that deals damage that you cast, you can expend a number of Hit Dice equal to the level of the spell. Roll the expended Hit Dice and add them together. The damage that the creature takes increases by an amount equal to that total.
3 Solinari Marble Wisdom Radiant When you or a creature you can see within 30 feet of you takes damage, you can use your reaction to expend a spell slot and weave protective magic around the target. Roll a number of d6s equal to the level of the spell slot expended and reduce the damage the target takes by the total rolled on those dice + your spellcasting ability modifier.
Orrery of Three Moons. If you are holding 3 Krynn Moon Orbs of different moons, you may attune to all 3 of them of them as a single magical item. You gain a bonus to spell attack rolls and to the saving throw DCs equal to the number of Krynn Moon Orbs orbiting your head (maximum of +3). The AC and hit points of the orbs also increases to 30.
