Ki-Empowered Rage

Prerequisites: Ki and Rage features
You have found a way to augment your rage with the mystical energy of ki, channeling one to enhance the other. You gain the following benefits:

  • When you enter your rage as a bonus action, you may use Flurry of Blows or Step of the Wind once freely during the same turn.
  • While raging, if you deal 10 or more damage to a hostile creature you hit on your turn with an unarmed strike, you gain 1 ki point. The ki points gained from this ability are temporary and disappear once your rage ends, and you can only possess an amount of them equal to your rage damage bonus.
  • If your rage would end early, you can expend 1 ki point (no action required) to maintain it until the end of your next turn.
  • If you have no more uses of rage remaining while meditating during a short rest, you can choose to regain no ki points from the rest and instead regain one use of rage.

Design Note: This feat assumes a monk/barbarian multiclass with no homebrew features that augment ki recovery. If you are playing with features that alter the way monk ki is managed or used as a resource, such as Honed Technique, Unnamed Monk Tradition, Ki Drainer, or Ki Mastery, Variant, then it is advised to replace the second bullet of this feat with the following:

  • When you enter your rage, you gain a number of ki points equal to your rage bonus damage. These ki points are temporary and disappear once your rage ends.
