Kaltamorn Character Races[edit]

The Kaltamorn Region is a very racially diverse part of Teon as far as the number of races represented. Even if humans form the majority, the fact of the matter is that a wide variety of races are available for selection. This section in particular is intended to help people determine which race they would like their character to be from.

Core Races[edit]

These are the most prevalent races in the Kaltamorn Region. Readers who are familiar with the game and its rulebooks will most likely notice that the basic playable races from the Player's Handbook for 3.5e. For exact percentages and additional details on how prevalent some races are over others, please see People and Society.

Uanite Races[edit]

A wide variety of races in Teon's Kaltamorn Region are similar in that they are humanoids with the physiologies of monsters and/or animals. These races are nowhere near as populous as humans, elves, or dwarves but are welcomed as equals by society all the same. These races are collectively referred to as Uanites since their souls have more similar compositions to each other than to other races. It is theorized that they might stem from a common race from long ago, but this has yet to be confirmed. Regardless of their differences, Uanites are considered to be citizens and are treated with respect by the government.

However, due to how different their bodies are compared to most other humanoid races, Uanites tend to find that most buildings are either too small, too big, or generally disadvantageous to use. As a result they have isolated themselves and formed their own communities separate from most humanoid settlements. It isn't out of a lack of respect or acceptance, merely a consequence of humanoid-centric construction.
