Inspirational Background[edit]

Your background has helped you grow and become the person that you are today. People from similar backgrounds tend yo be inspired in the same way.

All background has a condition that generates inspiration. Here is the list:

Acolyte[edit]

Fate Must Wait: Resurrect anyone in your party.

Unified Spirit: Pray to your god at the matching holy place

Saving the Believers: Safely free or protect a priest or a follower.

Needs of the Many: Persuade the a person to help multiple people in their time of need.

Charlatan[edit]

A Better Offer: Convince a group of your enemies to attack a different group of your enemies.

A Friend to All: Gain access to a forbidden or restricted area peacefully by lying to the guard.

Cheese Your Way Through: Talk your way past a group of enemies and avoiding the conflict

One of Us: Use a disguise to peacefully bypass the security.

The Importance of Networking: Talk your way into a gang's or criminal's Hideout.

Not My First Time: Resist the zone of truth spell or other methods to forcibly tell the truth

Shuffling the Board: Rig of any board game

Takes One to Know One: Expose the truth of a long term scam

Criminal[edit]

A Fine Fortune: Steal an item worth at least 1000 gold.

Culling the Crowd: Use poison to kill enemies in camp.

Escape Artist: Escape from jail after being arrested.

Heretic: Steal the Idol of a God in a place where they are actively being worshipped.

Jailbreaker: Smuggle someone out of jail

Entertainer[edit]

Celebrant: Enjoy a dance with strangers

Life of the Party: join a party hosted by your enemy

Feel the Beat: Successfully preform on an instrument that you have never played before

A Story of the Ages: Turn someone to your side with a well-timed tale.

The Price of Art: Free an artist from jail

A Story You Won't Believe: Pass all Performance checks when telling a tall tale to someone.

Folk Hero[edit]

A Lethal Endeavor: Escort a civilian from certain death

A Timely Rescue: Save a prisoner that is going to be killed

Fate Worse Than Death: Save a person from their torturers.

Guardian of the Forgotten: Save someone that other rescuers failed to save or save someone that everyone that no one would have cared if they were rescued.

Rescued From the Flames: Save anyone from a great fire

Breakout!: Break out and save all of the prisoners in a corrupt or evil prison.

No Strings to Hold Them Back: Release the slaves from their enslavement.

Power Corrupts: Defeat a major figure in the corrupted town.

Guild Artisan[edit]

A Golden Masterpiece: Sell an item worth at least 1000 gold.

A New Vision: Reforge a broken magic item.

Art Endures: Craft something in a magical Forge.

Expert Opinion: Evaluate a ruins and share your findings with an expert, like a mason, about your findings.

In Working Order: Repair a mechanical device

The Finest Ingredients: Create a masterwork item with the highest quality item.

Valued Costumer: Trade with someone who has High approval of you.

Noble[edit]

Dragon's Hoard: Have at least 2000 gold among the party.

Fine By Me: Use your wealth to bribe a guard.

Soul for Sale: Acquire a Soul Coin for your personal collection

Bodyguards for Hire: Recruit the "uncivilized" folks (folks that have no use for gold) to protect you.

Entitled: Earn a title from your deeds.

Taxes? Never Heard of 'Em: Don't give any gold to corrupt people and governments

Alms for the Unfortunate: Donate something to the refugees or a group of people in need.

Procedures be Damned: Illegally enter into a restricted or forbidden location when it is possible to wait to get the proper paper work to go in legally.

Outlander[edit]

Abyss Jumper: Enter the Underdark or a dangerous location by jumping into a dark hole.

Cub Tamer: Successfully tame a wild and dangerous cub.

Nest Egg: Take an item from a monster's nest or den.

From Head to Toe: Explore all sections of a dungeon, cave, or city.

Gifts of the Wilds: Give raw goods as a donation.

Horizon Walker: Travel through a new portal.

Primary Needs: Tame a dinosaur, making it non-hostile.

Sage[edit]

All Knowledge Is Worth Having: Finish reading a book that is cursed or contain information that most people prefer to not know.

Whispers from the Grave: Glean some wisdom from speaking with the dead.

Snuffed Spark: Find the dead person's journal.

Achievement Hunter: Complete side quest or a major plot point in the main plot.

Lore Dump: Learn about the lore

Soldier[edit]

One For The Ages: Survive a fight in which you kill ten or more enemies.

Pentacrush: Kill 5 enemies in a single turn.

Strategist: Defeat a powerful foe in one strike.

A Headless Horde: Kill every leader in the enemy's camp.

Warrior of the Hells: Kill the cultist leader

Return to Sender: Kill a powerful creature, like a devil, and in the process returning them back to their home plane.

Double-Tap: Kill a creature twice or more

Sharing the Spoils: Donate to the refugees or a group of people in need.

Urchin[edit]

Born Innocent: Save the a baby or child creature

Protect Your Own: Protect the child

You Can't Take It With You: Loot the dead creatures before their corpses are thrown into the river, burned, down a deep hole, and any other ways that makes a loot unachievable or hard to get.

Child at Heart: Play games with children

Hunger Never Fades: Donate food or money to an orphanage. Or eat with the orphans

Haunted One[edit]

Killing Spree: Kill 5 enemies in a single round.

Creatures of Bloodlust: Recruit the mercenaries by using or promising the corpses of your enemies as payment.

Fresh Kindle for the Fire: let a building or structure burn and do nothing to save the people inside

Grabbing the Poker with Both Hands: Torture someone

Now It's a Party!: Poison the stolen the drinks and the slaughtering the victims before the poison takes effect.

Reuniting Friends: kill a creature with strong ties with a dead friend.

Bleeding the Corpse Dry: Kill the necromancer.

Fly-Swatter: Kill the trickster winged fey.

Lack of Moderation is Key: Kill the brewer with his own brew.

Too Easy: Execute the useless and harmless creatures

How High They Fall: kill a demi-god or god

Kill 'Em While They're Young: Execute the newborn creature

Re-tasting the Kill: kill a person several times

Weak Gifts for Weak Beings: Take the measly offerings to the gods for yourself.
