Ingrained Javelin (5e Equipment)
Weapon (Symbiote), uncommon (Requires attunement)
When a wizard wanted a weapon built into his own flesh, he decided to put sentience into a javelin. The sentience was that of an ooze, however, so things didn't go to plan. The now sentient javelin seeks of a host, taking the form of minuscule weapons grouped together as a javelin.
When picked up it lodges a splinter of metal into the host’s hand and falls apart into a green slime, entering the body from the splinter’s protrusion. The symbiote grows in the forearm, leaving the arm is unusable for the time being alongside a -4 Strength penalty. These effects subside after 3 days.
While this symbiote is bonded, each short rest, three javelin can be made from the forearm in which the symbiotic entered. The javelin gains a bonus 1d6 acid damage when it's used, and a +1 attack bonus. These bonuses, however, only apply to a single attack, before dissolving into green, harmless gas. The javelin may be taken out of the arm as an action or launched from the arm as a normal action. If launches it does another 1d6 extra damage, but the attack has does not benefit from the +1 attack bonus.
To unbond from the symbiote, you must break open a javelin and put your palm to it, slightly piercing the skin.
