Identifier
Prerequisites: Ability to cast Identify
You’ve cast identify so many times to examine so many items and creatures that you’ve been able to identify some improvements to the spell.
- You can cast identify without using any components.
- You can cast identify as an action. You may do this once, regaining the use of this feature after finishing a long rest.
- When you cast identify on an object, you learn what its market value is, if any.
- When you cast identify on a creature, you learn any damage vulnerabilities, immunities, or resistances that creature has; as well as the level of the highest-level spell or spell-like ability it knows, if any.
- When you cast identify on a cursed creature or object, you immediately learn how to break one of its curses at random, if that curse is possible to break.
- Identify for you gains a range of 30 feet. When you cast identify at range, you can only use it to target creatures or objects that you can see.
- When you cast identify with a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, you may target one additional creature or object at once for each slot level above 1st.
- When you cast identify on an illusionary creature or object, you automatically know that it is an illusion.
