Hungry Robe of Useful Items (5e Equipment)
From D&D Wiki
Wondrous item (Robe), Rare (requires attunement) A seemingly normal robe of useful items, however as patches are removed they are also able to be replaced. After a patch has been removed, you can create a new patch in its place by using your action to pull something into the robe. Turning magic items into patches is not possible, however turning creatures is. To turn a creature, you must successfully grapple them and the creature must be willing or fail a DC 8 Charisma saving throw. Creatures with less than 3 Intelligence do not get to make a save. The creature, along with all of its equipment, will shrink into a simple hand-sewn patch in its likeness and merge into the robe's surface. Once transformed, the creature is then rendered unconscious and incapacitated as it falls into a dream-like state where it no longer needs to eat, sleep or breathe and is unable to keep track of the passage of time. When the creature's patch is torn off and used, it along with its gear will be returned to normal. You may also willingly turn yourself into a patch at will, assuming there is space for one. A Hungry Robe. This robe is cursed and does not like having its patches removed. If you take the robe off after removing any of its patches or don't replace all of its patches within 24 hours, it will try to absorb and transform any item or creature it can until all of its missing patches are restored; starting with the largest mundane item it's touching or that's in your inventory. If you have no mundane items on you while the robe is hungry, you must make a DC 14 Constitution saving throw. If you succeed, you must take off the robe before the start of your next turn or else you will have to make the save again. If you fail the save, lose consciousness or have fewer than half your hit points remaining you will be sucked into the robe and turned into one of its patches. |
