Hornet's Nest Club (5e Equipment)
From D&D Wiki
Weapon (club), uncommon (requires attunement) The hornet's nest club is a specially enchanted weapon, passed down to worthy protectors of nature, appearing as an ornately crafted club with a carved walnut handle, darkened through decades of use, and with a golden hornet's nest as the club's head. You can use a bonus action to speak the mace's command word, causing hornets to crawl out of the nest and start swarming around it, for one minute. While the hornets are swarming, the mace deals an additional 3d4 piercing damage to any target it hits. The hornets crawl back into the club after one minute , or when you use a bonus action to speak the command word again, or drop the weapon. Once this property of this club is used, it cannot be used again until the next dawn. You can use an action to cause honey to ooze forth from the nest, whenever the hornets are inside the club. You may use to honey to restrain a medium or smaller creature on a hit, on a DC 13 strength save the target is Restrained, the club regains this effect at dawn. This honey provides enough nourishment to sustain up to three Medium-sized creatures for a day, or six Small creatures. |
