Weapon (handaxe), uncommon (requires attunement) This light axe fashioned to evoke a raptor’s predatory beak atop a long, bloodstained shaft decorated in hawk feathers hides more life inside it than the heads it penetrates. As an action, you may throw this handaxe while speaking its command word. The weapon transforms into a hawk in any unoccupied space within 20 feet of you. The hawk acts as your familiar as if you had cast find familiar, but you cannot dismiss the beast and it can attack. While the hawk is within 20 feet of you, you may speak its command word again to transform the beast back into a handaxe. If the hawk is reduced to 0 hit points, it immediately transforms back into a handaxe and cannot transform again for 24 hours.
