Stub Logo.png This page is incomplete and/or lacking flavor. Reason: The description and general power level of this item seems to lean into being an artifact more than standard legendary item, at which point it has to compare to a vorpal sword, a significantly weaker item at the same rarity. Either way, "legendary, unique" means nothing in regards to 5e, and should be changed.

Weapon (Warhammer), legendary, unique (requires attunement)

An oversized Warhammer, seemingly made from obsidian dragon scales, adamantine, and glittering black gems. It's owner, Gemidoirth, The Dark, forged it himself, to carry in his humanoid form. It's approximate age is unknown, for obsidian dragons haven't been seen in millenia. It was used in the destruction of an entire continent, before its master seemingly vanished off the plane of existence. It is magical in nature, and was made to grow or shrink in size as he shapeshifted from one form to the other. It's base damage is 2D12 + STR, able to reach up to 4D20 + STR + proficiency in its full size. If using the versatile property, add 1D8 bludgeoning damage. If you are a dragon type creature, you are able to wreathe the hammer in flame as it recognizes your draconic blood, dealing an extra 1D6 fire damage, and setting the creature ablaze until they take an action to douse the flame. At the start of their turn, they take another 1D4 fire damage until it is extinguished. All creatures within a 10-foot radius of you must succeed on a Strength saving throw or fall prone. The DC is 8 + your Strength modifier + your proficiency bonus.
