Hallowed Defender (5e Equipment)
From D&D Wiki
Armor (shield), artifact (requires attunement) This angelic shield was crafted by Alexandyr Delteac using the artifact found at the site now known as castle Delteac. An interesting effect of this shield is that, while it is not sentient, it rejects any attunement attempts made by creatures without some form of celestial blood. If an attempt is rejected the creature that attempted must succeed a DC 18 constitution saving throw or be blinded until thier next long rest. While holding this shield, you have a +3 bonus to AC. You can use your action to make a melee weapon attack with the shield. On a hit, the target takes 1d6 bludgeoning damage, 2d8 radiant damage and is pushed 20 feet away from you. If a creature wielding The Hallowed Defender uses the “Radiant Vengeance” ability, all creatures in a 30 foot cone in front of that creature must make a DC 18 constitution saving throw or take 1d8 radiant damage and become blinded and stunned until the end of their next turn. A warlock with the pact of the blade feature and the celestial patron using Dawn's Edge may also attune to this shield and store them in the same extra-dimensional plane, effects that give the pact weapon a bonus do not affect The Hallowed Defender. |
