Grovetender Staff (5e Equipment)
From D&D Wiki
Weapon (Quarterstaff), artifact (requires attunement by a Cleric of the Nature Domain, a Druid, an Oath of the Ancients Paladin, or Totem Warrior Barbarian)
The Grovetender Staff is a legendary relic once carried by an ancient Wood-Elf queen known as Voraethi. This holy relic contains a seed from the great tree Yggdrasil, and by extension the great power of the tree of life.
The Grovetender Staff is a +1 magical quarterstaff.
Nature's Majesty
This magical quarterstaff has 11 charges and regains 1d12-1 charges daily at dawn. You may expend a number of charges necessary to cast one of the following spells from the staff, using your own spellcasting ability to do so, or your Strength if you are a Totem Warrior Barbarian.
1 Charge: cure wounds (First level), goodberry, sanctuary
2 Charges: aid, lesser restoration
3 Charges: conjure animals, plant growth, spirit guardians (Necrotic Damage)
4 Charges: conjure woodland beings, death ward
5 Charges: mass cure wounds
Nature's Blessing This magical quarterstaff is so laden with magical power that it has passive power as well. While attuned to the staff, you are always under the effects of the speak with animals spell. In addition, you may cast find familiar at no spell slot or material component cost. When casting find familiar in this way, you may only conjure a hawk, owl, or raven.
Nature's Ward
While attuned to this staff, unaligned, neutral, and good beasts will not attack you or any friendly creature within 30 feet of you unless provoked. This does not apply to domesticated animals such as guard dogs or war horses, however.
Destroying the Grovetender Staff. There are only two ways to destroy this staff. One, if the staff is returned to Yggdrasil and buried beneath its roots, it will be returned to the tree. Or two, the seed is planted in a grove, permanently converting the staff into a sapling that will grow to be an extension of Yggdrasil.
