Greatbow

Martial Ranged Weapons
Weapon Cost Damage Weight Properties
Greatbow 150 gp 4d4 piercing 17 lb. Ammunition (range 200/800), heavy, loading, two-handed, stabilizing, special

This behemoth of a greatbow stands taller than most people, designed to fire custom-made greatarrows for taking down great beasts. Due to the immense force required to pull the string and fire this weapon, a spike affixed to its lower tip is required to dig into the ground so the wielder can properly pull it all the way back.

The greatbow's greatarrows weigh 1 lb. each, and are too large to be compatible with normal bows.

The greatbow has the following additional properties due to its massive proportions:

  • You have disadvantage on attack rolls with this weapon, unless your Strength score is 17 or higher.
  • You have disadvantage on attack rolls made against targets closer than 20 feet, unless your Dexterity score is 15 or higher.

Expensive. A character can never gain this weapon as starting equipment from their class.
