Wondrous Item (Symbiote), rare (Requires attunement)

A rough looking, shiny, metallic golden ooze, you can see flecks of gold and pyrite in it. This was a result of an alchemist dropping gold into their cauldron while working with diffrent ooze species, creating this ooze.
Thus Symbiote finds unworked stone and digs it's way in and disguises itself as a vein of gold. However, excavated it waits until it is held, and then forms into a spike driving it's way through the holder dealing 8d10 piercing damage as it impales the holder.

Once the holder has been impaled the Symbiote starts breaking off inside them entering their bloodstream. The impalement injury reduces the victims maximum health and movement speed by half, as well as causes 1d6 damage when taking strenuous actions like dashing or attacking, this effect lasts 3 days of rest or unless magically healed for the total amount of damage done by the attack. 24 hours after the impalement attack the Symbiote starts to break down the cell walls of the host's body.

Day 1: They feel sick, and their constitution modifier is reduced by one.

Day 2: Their bones and muscles start to weaken and their con and strength modifier are reduced by one, (con total of 2).

Day 3: Their skin starts to fall off their bones, reducing their max hp by half,

After 2 days of rest, the day 3 modifiers completely wear off, the preceding effects wear off at day 3 and 5 respectively as the symbiote has fully bonded and altered the host's DNA, while bonded, the host can use an action to mimic the effects of the changeling shifting ability.

To unattune to this symbiote, you must touch a piece of gold ore, and meditate or 8 hrs.
