Golden Evil Mine (Shard Ne'Vaal Supplement)

To the Uino people, gold was considered an evil substance that brought out the worst in mortals. It created obsessions that drove men to kill. This perhaps was not an unfounded fear of the glimmering mineral. Within the Karas Plains is an old vein of untapped ore, said to be filled with precious metal. The vein was only ever opened once, supposedly by greedy people from Ba Xin. As the mine was located near the waterways of west Dasoon, much of the wildlife began to suffer and the earth strangely became barren. The miners were also said to suffer a strange affliction after working in the area. The Bien people drove out these miners and declared the mine to be shut down.

In present-day Shard Ne'Vaal, while little of the Karas Plains survived, this mine remains, hidden in the roots of the World Tree. It is said the cave unleashes abominations that lurk around it.
