Gloves of Riftmaking (5e Equipment)
Wondrous item, legendary (major) (requires attunement) These discrete magitech gloves grant you the ability to momentarily open small rifts in space large enough to slip your hands through. When you make a melee attack such as with an unarmed strike or small finesse weapon such as a dagger, interact with an object, or make a Dexterity (Sleight of Hand) check, you can do so as if you were in a unoccupied space of your choice within 30 feet of you. You can stow or retrieve objects in this way as long as they are no larger than 8 inches in width or height. Charges. The gloves have 10 charges, regained daily at dawn. You can expend 2 charges as a bonus action to make a rift large enough for a Small or Medium creature to slip through that links to an unoccupied space within 30 feet. The rift lasts as long as you maintain concentration on it. Whenever you make a rift, you can expend additional charges to double the maximum distance the destination can be away from you for each expended charge. You can also expend additional charges to create larger rifts: 1 additional charge for a rift large enough for a Large creature, 2 additional charges for a Huge creature, and 3 additional charges for a Gargantuan creature. |
