Glasses of the Curator (5e Equipment)
From D&D Wiki
Wondrous Item, uncommon (requires attunement) These thick rimmed glasses were once owned by a magical curator of great renown. Being used to examine a countless number of magical items has imbued these glasses with the ability to allow its wearer to cast the identify spell on items. The glasses hold 1 charge that is recovered at dawn each day. The charge may be used to cast the identify spell without needing components or any magical proficiency. However the wearer must remain attuned to the item for a full 24 hours in order to use this ability. The glasses are unsightly and gives the wearer disadvantage on Persuasion checks for as long as a creature wears it. If over the duration of a continuous 7 days, seven charges are used on an item with the wearer never breaking attunement to the glasses of the curator, the glasses allow the wearer to cast the legend lore spell on the item they have spent the past week examining without requiring any magical proficiency or materials. |
