Weapon (great maul), very rare (requires attunement)

A Gideon is a gigantic maul favoured by giants. You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon, which has 2 charges. Hitting enemies with Gideon does 3d8 bludgeoning damage when not using the charges.
As an action, you can expend a charge to slam the maul to the ground, causing a minor earthquake that affects a 25 foot radius centred on you. Creatures in this area must make a Dexterity saving throw with a DC of 8 + your Strength modifier + your proficiency bonus. A creature that fails this saving throw takes 4d10 bludgeoning damage and is knocked prone if they are Large or smaller. A creature that succeeds on its saving throw takes half as much damage and isn't knocked prone.

This weapon regains 1 charge at dawn.
