Ghostly Eye (5e Equipment)
From D&D Wiki
Wondrous item, very rare (major) (requires attunement by a creature missing an eye) This hollow stone socket contains a Tiny flickering blue flame. As part of attuning to it, you place it in your empty eye socket. Once attuned, you can see through the blue flame as if it were a normal eye. From this eye, you have darkvision and sight into the Ethereal Plane for 60 feet. Ghostly Ray. When you take the Attack action while the blue flame is in the socket, you can replace one of the attacks made with the following: The flame fires a thin beam of blue fire at a target you can see within 60 feet of it. This ranged spell attack has a +8 to hit, and deals 2d6 necrotic and 2d6 fire damage. A flammable object that isn't being worn or carried struck by this beam is ignited. Spirit Eye. As a bonus action, you can cause the flame to exit the socket and move up to 60 feet. While apart from the socket, the flame has AC 18 and 1 hit point. You can continue to use a bonus action on each of your turns to cause the flame to move up to 60 feet. Additionally, when you do so, you can cause the flame to either use its Ghostly Ray or turn invisible. The flame remains invisible until it moves or attacks. If the flame is within 5 feet of you at any point, you can have it reenter the socket (no action required). The flame can pass through other creatures and objects as if they were difficult terrain. It is instantly destroyed if it is inside a solid object at the end of your turn. If the flame is destroyed, it reappears in the socket at the next dusk. |
