Wondrous Item, rare (requires attunement by a genasi)

While attuned to this gem, its effects can affect you within 300 feet of the gem itself. This gem only affects Genasi. While attuned and within range, you can transform yourself into a form made purely of your element. You can only stay in your transformed state for 1 minute. Once you have exceeded this time limit, you must revert to your original form and cannot transform back until a short rest is completed. While transformed, you have the following traits:

Air Genasi: When in pure air form, you gain a flying speed of 60 feet, you are seemingly invisible, and can slip through almost any small space. You cannot attack in this form, but you can attempt to knock a creature prone by making them make a Strength saving throw of DC equal to your Constitution score. While in this form, you are immune to all forms of damage. Anything you are holding or wearing transform into air with you, they are not lost.

Earth Genasi: When in pure earth form, your natural AC becomes 20 and you gain 20 temporary hit points. You can make unarmed strikes that do 1d12 bludgeoning damage and can burrow through non-magical earth or stone. You have a burrow speed of 40. Your are immune to non-magical damage. Anything you are holding or wearing transform into earth with you, they are not lost.

Fire Genasi: When in pure fire form, you can light nearby objects on fire, and you can make unarmed strikes that deal 1d8 fire damage, as well as slip through gaps that are 1 inch wide. You can only be damaged by cold damage or water. For every gallon of water poured on you, you lose 5 HP. If you have more than 5 gallons at once poured on you, you automatically revert to your original form, and must recover before transforming again. Anything you are holding or wearing transform into fire with you, they are not lost.

Water Genasi: When in pure water form, you do not need to breathe air, and can slip through gaps 1 inch wide. You have a swim speed of 60, and can fill a creature's lungs to suffocate them. This requires a challenge check between the two creatures constitution. This challenge is repeated 3 times. 1 success results in the creature taking 5 non-lethal damage, 2 successes results in the creature taking 20 non-lethal damage, and 3 successes results in the creature becoming unconscious. Once you have attempted suffocating a creature, you automatically revert to your normal form within 5 feet of the creature. You can only be damaged with acid or cold damage. Anything you are holding or wearing transform into water with you, they are not lost.

Ice Genasi: When in pure ice form, you have a natural AC of 16, and can make unarmed strikes that do 1d8 piercing/bludgeoning damage. Alternatively you can make a breath attack that does 1d6 cold damage in a 15-foot cone. You are immune to non-magical damage and vulnerable to fire damage. Anything you are holding or wearing transform into ice with you, they are not lost.

Magma Genasi: When in pure magma form, you have a natural AC of 18 and can make unarmed strikes that do 1d10 fire damage. You can also light nearby objects on fire. You have a swim speed of 30 feet in lava and other molten liquids, and a burrow speed of 20 feet in non-magical earth and stone. Note: burrowing leaves behind a tunnel. You are immune to non-magical damage and fire damage and are vulnerable to cold damage. Anything you are holding or wearing transform into magma with you, they are not lost.

Mud Genasi: When in pure mud form, you can slip through gaps that are 1 inch wide. You have a burrow speed of 30 feet and a swim speed of 20 feet. You can only burrow through non-magical earth, but not stone. You can make unarmed strikes that do 1d6 bludgeoning damage. You are immune to non-magical damage and are vulnerable to acid damage. Anything you are holding or wearing transform into mud with you, they are not lost.

Smoke Genasi: When in pure smoke form, you can slip through almost any space, and have a fly speed of 60 feet, and can fill a creature's lungs to suffocate them. You are immune to non-magical damage and are vulnerable to acid damage. While in this form, you are immune to all forms of damage. Anything you are holding or wearing transform into smoke with you, they are not lost.

Lightning Genasi: While in pure lightning form, you emit bright light in a 30 foot radius, and dim light for another 30 feet. You have a fly speed of 480, though this is more of an instantaneous movement, as you “strike” from one location to another, the way lightning strikes from the sky to the ground. You can make 6 unarmed strikes that each deal 1d4 lightning damage, and each can reach 30 feet away from you. You can also make these attacks in between movements, meaning you can, for example, move 80 feet, then attack once, then move another 80 feet, attack once, and do so another 4 times. You are immune to non-magical damage, as well as lightning and thunder damage. You are vulnerable to cold damage. Anything you are holding or wearing transform into lightning with you, they are not lost.

You can alter your colour and transparency at will, and can slip through almost any small space. You cannot attack in this form, but you can attempt to blind a creature by making them make a Constitution saving throw of DC equal to 8+ your Constitution modifier. While in this form, you are immune to all forms of damage. Anything you are holding or wearing transform into radiance with you, they are not lost.

Salt Genasi: --Needs Editing--

Steam Genasi: --Needs Editing--

Vacuum Genasi: When in pure vacuum form, you gain a flying speed of 60 feet, you look like a suspended greyish shadow, and can slip through almost any small space. You cannot attack in this form, but can attempt to empty a creature's lungs to suffocate them. Additionally, you create a 5 foot radius around you where creatures are considered deaf and have difficulty breathing and can start suffocating in half the normal time. While in this form, you are immune to all forms of damage. Anything you are holding or wearing transform into vacuum with you, they are not lost.
