Gambler's Longbow (5e Equipment)

Weapon (longbow), very rare (requires attunement) You gain a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this weapon. This longbow of legend is said to have belonged to a particularly ornery old man with a gambling addiction long, long ago. Ironically, the man had won it gambling at his local tavern, from a hooded figure who said little but emanated with an aura of mystery. When the figure ran out of coin, it offered a beautiful oaken longbow, with an ivory-colored swan feather charm attached to the peak of the bow's upper limb, as his final "all or nothing" bet. When you draw back the bowstring, a magical arrow materializes perfectly notched and ready to be let loose. However, the arrow that materializes deals d8 damage in the form of a randomized damage type. Roll a d10 to determine the damage type that this magic arrow will deal upon successfully hitting a target.

If the bowstring is let down (as if not to fire an arrow), the materialized arrow simply disappears, and cannot be stored for later use. Arrows materialized by this bow vanish upon impact. As such, they cannot be recollected after an encounter.
