Force Edge (5e Equipment)
From D&D Wiki
Weapon (longsword), legendary (requires attunement) A force edge is a demon-forged blade said to have extremely great power that rivals that of the gods themselves. It appears to be a regular sword of ordinary design, save for the unique spiral handle that ends in four skulls with a spike at the top. It's guard is in a W shape, resembling the horns of the sword's original wielder, Sparda. When paired with the two halves of the Perfect Amulet, this can also awaken the true potential of Force Edge. The power the blade is granted is the ability to open a portal to the Demon World. Damage: 3d10 Slashing & 2d6 Force. Unique Abilities: Demon Forged: Attacking creatures within 5 feet of you gives you a bonus +6 to attack rolls. If you use one action to attack with this weapon, you may attack again afterwards without consuming your bonus action. The following abilities are variations of attack. Trillion Stab: Roll for attack with disadvantage against one creature. If you succeed, the target creature takes 20d4 Piercing damage. If it fails, the attack misses and the target creature gets a free opportunity attack against you. Round Trip: You can throw your sword up to 60 feet. The targeted creature must make a Dexterity saving throw DC 14 + your Dexterity modifier. If it fails, the target creature takes 4d8 Slashing damage, or half as much on a successful save. Force Edge immediately returns to you after the action is completed, and it cannot be taken by any creatures while in flight. If it is blocked or stopped by a wall or other means, it will return to the user. Helm Breaker: Perform an overhead strike against one creature and deal 2d10 Slashing damage. The creature must make a Strength saving throw DC 13 + your Strength modifier. If it fails, the creature takes 2d6 Force damage and become prone. If it succeeds, it does not take extra Force damage and does not become prone. |
