Wondrous item, rare

Flux powder is the result of exposing organic matter to such extreme levels of magical heat and radiation that it is vaporized into a fine charcoal powder. Due to its extreme magical mutability, it can become infused with various items if it is applied quickly.

Magical Infusion. Flux powder is active for one hour after its creation. During this time frame, it can be integrated into a non-magical item, which after 24 hours becomes magical and gains one major beneficial property.

While the powder is active, it is extremely hot and any creature that touches it directly must succeed a DC(16) Constitution saving throw, taking 4d6 fire damage on a failed save.

If the powder is not applied within the time frame, it becomes too cold to successfully weld with anything, and will gradually become non-magical over the course of 24 hours.

Random Properties. Flux powder has the following random properties:

  • 1 major beneficial property
  • 2 minor detrimental properties
