Multiattack. The festerheart makes three attacks: one with its bite and two with its whip.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d6 + 3) piercing damage and the festerheart regains hit points equal to the damage dealt.

Whip. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 4 (1d4 + 3) slashing damage.

Gory Feast. The festerheart feeds on the corpse of one creature within reach that died within the past minute. The festerheart regains 9 (2d8) hit points and gains advantage on Strength-based attack rolls, Strength checks, and Strength saving throws for 1 minute.

BONUS ACTIONS

Drive the Workers. The festerheart cracks its whip. Each ally of the festerheart that it can see within 15 feet of it may then use a reaction to move up to half its speed or make one weapon attack. If the ally is a festerheart farmhand, it may receive both benefits.


The festerheart foreman acts as a commander among the festerhearts, issuing orders to others and acting out the will of a festerheart mayor. These souls are grim and mirthless, taking pleasure only in spreading the Festering and berating their underlings for their failures.
