Elemental Repeater (5e Equipment)
From D&D Wiki
Weapon (hand crossbow), rare (requires attunement) A stylish iridescent hand crossbow. Created by a journeyman mage who was tired of casting spells and wanted to simplify the process. This magical weapon has 12 charges and regains 1d6+6 expended charges daily at dawn. These charges can be used in two ways: Elemental Attack: When you hit an attack with this weapon, you can expend one charge to deal an additional 1d6 damage of acid, fire, cold, poison, lightning, force, radiant or necrotic. Elemental Overload: When you make an attack with this weapon, you can expend three charges to replace that attack with a breath attack from the crossbow. This breath attack deals 4d6 damage of the same types as above, in a 15 foot cone in front of you. Any creatures in this area must make a DC 16 Dexterity saving throw, taking only half damage on a success. This breath attack can only be made once per turn. Curse of Elementals: As you wield Elemental Repeater, the intoxicating power of elementals clouds your mind. Whenever you make a saving throw against magical spells, you subtract 1 from the roll. |
