You imbue a number of pieces of ammunition with elemental energy. When you cast this spell choose one of the following damage types; fire, cold, lightning, acid, poison, or thunder. Then, choose one of the following options.
- Single Shot. Touch one piece of ammunition. The next time this piece of ammunition hits a target before the spell ends, add an additional 3d8 damage of the chosen element to the damage roll.
- Multishot. Touch three pieces of ammunition. The next time any of these pieces hit a target before the spell ends, add an additional 1d8 damage of the chosen element to the damage roll.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the damage from the single shot option increases by 1d8 and the number of pieces of ammunition for the multishot option increases by 1 for each slot level above 1st.
