Early Genetic Experiment (5e Race)
From D&D Wiki
I already made Early Artificial Experiment (5e Race) - what is like this, but with less nonsense.
Early Genetic Experiment[edit]
Physical Description[edit]
Early Genetic Experiments looks varies from model to model. Some of them look like augmented pre-existing humanoids; some look somewhat like unheard of, yet conventional humanoids; some look like space marines clad in bone exoskeletons; some look like a mix of gremlins and gray men, being short, skinny, either naked or furred, multi-handed humanoids with antennae and organs of unknown purpose; some look like shape-changing blobs what can look as whatever they like; and some have so strange looks, what it would require 300 pages of documentations to explain them. Some are cyborgs, robots, androids or constructs.
History[edit]
Generally, Early Genetic Experiments were created after civilization started coding in DNA as skillfully, as modern humans code in computer programming languages - yet before said civilization became so advanced, what said experiments started having "thousands of times of their own weight" in ability descriptions. Most are created and optimized for specific purposes. Some are created their transhumanist creators as superior replacement/modernization of naturally evolved species.
Society[edit]
Generally, Early Genetic Experiments do what they are made to do. Some may form clans based on their "family" union, genetic similarity, or unity of purpose - while others live and work for organizations what created them. Usually, they live in caste society, with each caste specializing in it's own task, specialty and field of work.
Personality[edit]
Early Genetic Experiments personality varies from model to model, and from specimen to specimen. Generally, they love to do what they were created and optimized for.
Early Genetic Experiment Traits[edit]
Early Genetic Experiments have so diverse looks, what they can't be shortly summarized. They are whatever their creator needs, and can be anything within reasons.
Ability Score Increase. Customized, see "Customized Physiology"
Age. Due to advances in genetic engineering, Early Genetic Experiments are biologically immortal - meaning, they can live forever, or until someone kills them. They never suffer any negative effects from old age. Rate of aging for purposes of benevolent aging is varies from model to model. Most Early Genetic Experiments don't have any undeveloped "child"-like stages, and are born as Adults. Some are designed to be born as fully-able-bodied Adults, but with smart and wise Venerable mind.
Alignment. Varies from model to model. Can be chosen at creation.
Size. Customized, see "Customized Physiology"
Speed. Customized, see "Customized Physiology"
Customized Physiology. You and your creator can choose absolutely any combination of racial characteristics and qualities. However, your Musicus_Meter_(5e_Guideline) must not exceed 8 - as experiments with Musicus_Meter_(5e_Guideline) bigger than 8 aren't "Early" genetic experiments.
Recustomization. Bored with your old body? Need another physiology for situation? Messed up your build? You can use the machine used for creation of Early Genetic Experiments, to change your species to another custom model of Early Genetic Experiment. Process is free, takes 5 minutes, as you get new implants and your DNA gets altered. New model's Musicus_Meter_(5e_Guideline) must not exceed 8, just like on character creation.
Languages. Customized, see "Customized Physiology". At the very least, you can speak, read and write Common.
