Dragon Soul Weapons (5e Equipment)
From D&D Wiki
Weapon (any), legendary (requires attunement) These magical weapons were forged by a legendary group of dragon slayers, who learned how to capture the souls of dead dragons and put them in mundane objects. These weapons have the souls of dead dragons trapped inside of them and can unleash their power in a mighty burst. Dragon's Bane. When you hit a dragon with this weapon, the dragon takes an extra 1d6 damage of the weapon's type. For the purpose of this weapon, "dragon" refers to any creature with the dragon type, including dragon turtles and wyverns. Dragon's Fury. This weapon has 1d3 charges, and it can hold up to 6 charges at a time. It gains a bonus to attack and damage rolls equal to half the number of charges the item has. In addition, as an action, you can expend a charge to unleash a dragon's fury upon your enemies. Every creature within 30 feet of you must make a DC 18 Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, they take 4d6 fire damage, which bypasses resistances and immunity of creatures with the dragon type. In addition, attacks with this weapon deal an extra 1d6 fire damage for 1 minute, which bypasses resistances and immunities of creatures with the dragon type. Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until the next dawn. Soul Harvester. You can spend 1 minute concentrating on the body of a dragon who has died within the past 1 hour to harvest its soul. This item then gains 1 charge, up to its maximum of 6 charges, and the dragon cannot be brought back to life by any means short of a wish spell. |
