Dragon's Kiss (5e Equipment)
From D&D Wiki
Weapon (hand crossbow), Rare (requires attunement) A stylish black hand crossbow, adorned with draconic scales and bones. "When an adventurer approached a blacksmith and asked, 'What is the best weapon to kill a dragon?', the blacksmith replied, 'Another dragon.' Many moons later, the adventurer returned with dragon scales, bones and claws and asked if the blacksmith could work with them, but the blacksmith replied 'Only dragonfire could melt these materials.' So the adventurer took the blacksmith to a dragon's lair and as it covered the area in flames, the blacksmith welded steel to scales, even as the flames burned their flesh. In the end, the adventurer died without ever seeing their weapon, so the blacksmith returned home, carrying in hand their masterpiece which they named 'Dragon's Kiss'." While holding this magic weapon, you gain a +1 to Attack and Damage rolls made with it. Curse of Hubris: As you wield Dragon's Kiss, the overwhelming presence of a dragon eats away at some of your own your own mind. Whenever you make a saving throw against being feared or charmed by a dragon, or if you make a Charisma Ability Check against one, you have disadvantage. |
