Well, as for quicklings, whoever added them to the site originally, used them from this link, which is 3.0, but I have since modified it into 3.5e and made a few other changes (with heavy assistance) to mechanics and flavor. So yeah, that is that. Sprightlings however is just another name given to the version of the race that is actually closer to the original 3.0 version. Also, I think there is some information on the Quicklings talk page about origins and all that stuff.
