Alchemist's Supplies[edit]

So, you have a proficiency in tools. Thieves tools, disguise kit and those things have obvious uses. Does anyone have suggestions on the rules for people who have proficiency in Alchemist's Supplies? Other versions have an Alchemist class, but how about someone with just the kit proficiency?

I took it, but my DM won't let me make anything, since there is nothing defined in the PH.

Ideas?

Which edition are you playing? 5e?

I have the same thing happening to me also. I'm in 5e.

Hi, I'm currently working on alchemy rules in the Rules section of 5e Homebrew. The effects might need to be tweaked before he agrees that it makes sense in 3.5 but it is a short and simple ruleset so it wouldn't be asking too much of him. See what you think and feel free to copy it to the 3.5 Homebrew and make it your own.

Now that Xanathar's is out, this should be cleared up.--Yanied (talk) 09:45, 4 February 2022 (MST)
