Desire is the twin of Despair but is often capable of commanding Despair.

Desire is an androgynous being showing themselves as either a man or woman but rarely is Desires form not beautiful because of this Desire is often referred to as 'sibling' by the other Endless.

Desire lives in a huge statue of itself made out of flesh and blood called the Threshold.

Desire often interferes with the affairs of their siblings, especially dream whose romantic affairs desire has taken a part in destroying. The reason behind Desires actions are unclear but as long as Desire gets the outcome they want the consequences do not matter.

Desire considers mortal lives to be inconsequential and believes they can do whatever they want with them. Desires older siblings have informed Desire the Endless' purpose is not to control mortals but to serve them.
