Wondrous item, very rare (requires attunement by a creature who was brought back from the dead at least once.)

This hat is but one of the many pieces of the deadman's armaments. This magical item was enchanted with shadow magic from the Shadowfell and also contains the spirit of a lonely traveler who died unknowingly. This traveler was said to have saved many people from the shadows, and in his last moments before death, he managed to create a set of magic items which allows their wearer control over shadows.

Shrouded Face. This hat can shrouds your face in shadow, which makes you unidentifiable and quite intimidating. While you are wearing this hat, as an action, your facial features becomes obscured by darkness and any divination spell or effect that attempts to identify you will automatically fail. But when accused of wrongdoings while the hat is worn, the wearer gets disadvantage to Persuasion and Deception to convince others of their supposed innocence. Also, you gain advantage on Intimidation checks for your scary looks. As an action you can make the shadow disappears and you lose any passive abilities of this property.

Darkvision. While wearing these hat, you have darkvision out to a range of 60 feet. If you already have darkvision, wearing the hat increases its range by 60 feet.

Bound until Death If a creature other than you, the wearer, attemps to physically remove the hat from your head, it automatically fails because their hands(or something similar) slips as if the hat has no real physical form. The hat can only be removed by the wearer willingly or if the wearer dies.
