Weapon (longsword), artifact (requires attunement by an Aasimar)

A gilded longsword hilt crafted by the first great and few men and women of the aasimar race. The blade is made of sunlight and deals no physical damage.
Random Properties. The Dawnbringer of the Aasimar has the following random properties:

  • 1 minor beneficial property minor beneficial properties
  • 2 major beneficial property major beneficial properties
  • 1 minor detrimental property minor detrimental properties


Sentience. The sword has a feminine voice, speaks celestial and common, it can communicate telepathically with its owner. It has an Intelligence of 18 (+4), Wisdom of 20 (+5), and a Charisma of 18 (+4), it's alignment is lawful good
Personality. The blade is always caring for its owner, constantly looking out for them, never lying, and offering advice. It stands for good at all costs and despises evil


Traits You have a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon, which has the finesse property. If you are proficient with shortswords or longswords, you are proficient with the sun blade. The blade appears when the command word is spoken as a bonus action. The longsword deals 1d8 radiant damage with the blade present. The blade sheds bright light in a 30-foot radius, and dim light for an additional 30 feet, the light can be extinguished as a bonus action without extinguishing the blade. If the target is an undead or a fiend they take an extra 1d8 radiant damage, with less than 30 hit points it must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or be destroyed. As an action you may point the blade at an opponent and fire a ray of sunlight dealing normal damage but the ray loses the destroy undead and fiend property in this attack.
Destroying the Dawnbringer of the Aasimar. This weapon can only be destroyed by its owner if they are an aasimar.
