The Darmaseth were once revered warriors of the nation of Igribus, similar to an order of holy knights. All members were sworn under the crown to protect the people. However, following the Hallowed Blood Coup, they were all executed as traitors to the crown at the behest of the people. They cursed their nation with their dying breath and held fast to their claims of innocence. Their bodies were buried unceremoniously in a potter's field. It is said that their emotions of betrayal at the hands of those they swore to protect remained and festered, turning into a cesspool ripe for corruption. Hearing the cry for revenge in their souls, the Uncreated granted their desire, raising them as eldritch-powered bodies in their original, tarnished armor. Now animated by their hatred and abominable power, the Darmaseth strike fear into the populace they once swore fealty to. All that is left is the bloodlust and broken dreams within an armor void of soul. |
