Dark Rod (5e Equipment)

Rod, very rare This steel rod features a purple orb at the tip which glows from within. It can be wielded as a magical mace that inflicts an additional 1d6 force damage on a hit. In addition, you can fire a blast of crackling energy from the rod as a ranged weapon attack with the range (150/600) property that inflicts 3d8 force damage on a hit. You can choose to add your Intelligence modifier to attack and damage rolls with this attack, instead of your Dexterity modifier. After the rod fires 10 energy blasts, it must spend 1 hour recharging before it can fire again.
