If the target fails the saving throw by 5 or more, they are restrained until the start of your next turn.
At the start of the target's next turn, they must make a Constitution saving throw, taking 1d8 necrotic damage on a failed save or half as much damage on a successful one. A restrained creature has disadvantage on the save.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the initial bludgeoning damage increases by 1d4 for each slot level above 2nd.
